Inspiration

The idea for SNOLUXE was born on the mountain of Mt. Tremblant, a beautiful ski resort nestled in the French Provence of Quebec, Canada.  Fiddling with our annoying and unattractive fleece neck warmers we wondered why there wasn't a better/more fashionable option. The challenge...can we merge a more stylish neck accessory with a highly functional one and create an option with performance as good as its looks?  Can it provide the warmth needed to ski, but also be beautiful? The answer to both questions is yes, and it's called the SnoScarf.

Our SnoScarf marries the style of an iconic silk scarf with the warmth and functionality of a traditional ski gaiter. It's a pull-over neck accessory that is fully lined with plush, stretch micro-fleece and has an exterior fabric that exhibits the chicness of a silk scarf. It is made out of a high performance fabric that can hold up to the cold conditions of skiing and other outdoor activities. And, yes, you can throw it in the washer and dryer!

SNOLUXE is inspired by the alpine lifestyle. Snow-capped mountains, bright blue skies, majestic evergreens, crackling fires...wholesome winter fun with friends and family. As founders, we enjoy skiing wherever our travels take us but also call certain mountains home. Whiteface Mountain, Telluride, Vail, Beaver Creek, Stratton and Okemo are where our children learned to ski and where we still spend our time on the slopes - so our SnoScarf has withstood some pretty cold days on the mountain.

Our production runs will be small so if you like what you see do not hesitate. Small batches of handcrafted, unique designs will be created each season with the intention that you save and collect them over the years, and we are proud to be manufacturing in the USA (Brooklyn, to be specific).
